FUNKY VASE

This is becoming my best selling photo. Look closely at the flower and you can see the results of using Studio Artist.

Photoshop was used to intensify the color saturation of the vase.

BLUES SINGER

I worked longer on this photo than any I have ever computer processed. A rain storm had knocked out the stage lights; the tent housing the festival had yellow and grey stripes on the top; I shot the original in black and white and then wished I had color in the shot. But a combination of Photoshop and Studio Artist led me to this image.

IN TIGHT

I brought home a bouquet of flowers and this was the result of photographing them and then using Studio Artist to highlight the edges of the flower.

LILY BUD IMPRESSION

This is an example of using Studio Artist to create more of an impressionistic interpretation of a photograph.

FLOWERING IN SPRING

A photograph of a flowering tree in the neighborhood formed the basis for this image created through the use of Studio Artist. The first time I hung it in an art gallery it sold quickly. I hope it is as bright on your monitor as it is when printed on Ilford's Classic Pearl inkjet paper.

Introduction

An artist friend, a painter of large murals, suggested that I call what I do to my photographs using Studio Artist should be called "photo painting." I was searching for a descriptive term, and I like his suggestion. Therefore, I will be regularing posting examples of this work with a short description. Sort of a portfolio of what I think is somewhat unique, or at least I hope so.
